Happy New Years to all of you.
I would like to remine all of you that your goal as an FTO is officer safety. Teaching the new officer to be safe should be our number one goal. In 2011 we lost 163 fellow officers. This is an increase from last year. Deaths from gunshot was the leading cause of death. 2012 is not a day old and we have lost two officers to gunshots.
I hope to see many of you at our 2012 National conference in Orlando, FL 19-22 June 2012. We have a great lineup of presenters and training. You can find information on the website:
www.nafto.org. We will have the presenters and schedule posted by the end of January. Also the website has been revised and there is great amount of information that all of you can use. If you have information you would like to be posted on the wesite please send it to me.
