Washington NAFTO State Training Conference

WHEN: MARCH 5th and 6th, 2012

TIME: 0800 TO 1700  (Registration at 0730)

WHERE: Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center (Burien)

WHO: Communications, Corrections and Law Enforcement 

Day One:  The FBI's Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted (LEOKA) Officer Safety & Survival program.  This is a nation-wide law enforcement safety initiative. The program is designed to assist law enforcement managers, trainers, and personnel in the identification of training issues for the purpose of preventing the deaths and/or serious injuries of law enforcement personnel. This presentation includes review of case studies with video interviews of officers and offenders involved in Violent Encounter situations.  This program will be presented by Marcus J. Young. 

Day Two:  A series of classes specific for training officer training.  Most of the 2-hour classes will be repeated so the trainers can attend multiple topics.  Classes being developed to cover FTO refresher; Why DOR’s fail; Legal Update; Data Mining; Corrections training review; and other topics.
