The purpose of the Master FTO Program is to recognize professional competence in training, education and experience directly relating to the position as a Field Training Officer.
The Master FTO program will be administered by a committee consisting of 3 members of the National Board of Directors. The First Vice President will be the Chairperson for the committee. The Second Vice President and the Member at Large (A) will complete the committee. State with an active NAFTO Chapter will be notified of applications for the Master FTO Program by the Committee Chairperson.
Applications will be emailed to the NAFTO President and then forwarded to the Master FTO Program Committee. Committee members will review, discuss, and approve or deny the applications. The Committee Chair will then advise the President of the applicant’s status and a letter will be sent to the applicant advising them of their status. A notation will be added to the applicant’s membership record showing them to be a recognized Master FTO. Master Field Training Officers will receive a letter acceptance to the program, a Master FTO Pin, and recognition on the NAFTO website.
