The NAFTO Executive Board has been closely monitoring national concerns, trends and directives related to our Country’s response to the COVID-19 epidemic. Taking all matters into consideration, we have decided to cancel all classes through May 31st, 2020. NAFTO staff will be contacting all agencies that this decision directly impacts. Registration for those classes have now been closed.

Last March 12th and 13th I had the pleasure to host our NAFTO Management class in Elyria, Ohio. On the morning of the 13th, the Ohio Governor began to enact serious restrictions on public gatherings, schools and business as an early reaction to their state’s growing Covid-19 epidemic. We wrapped up another great class with so many great law enforcement professionals and began our trips home. Little did we know how much our lives would change in just two short weeks.
On behalf of NAFTO’s Executive Board, I wanted to send an update on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and the impact it will have on our day-to-day operations moving forward. Due to the fluid nature of what our country, states, and communities are experiencing we are closely monitoring recommendations from various state Department of Health Services and the Centers of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) to provide the most up-to-date adjustments.
